Born in London, Jeanette grew up in the south east of England before moving to Australia as part of the “Ten Pound” migrant scheme, living in Woomera until moving to Jervis Bay, Adelaide, Perth and - finally - settling in the Adelaide Hills.
After starting her family, Jeanette worked with Weight Watchers in the early '90s in many roles, along with many other diverse roles for Pfizer UK, The South Australian dairy and primary industries as well as in property management.
Since the passing of Jeanette’s youngest daughter, she has focused on supporting her grandchildren as well as dealing with her own health, after a diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Jeanette has lived experience in many diversity strands from sex and gender to illness and disability.
