The Diversity Company exists to educate all levels of society on the simplicity of understanding diversity and differences in today’s world and the characteristics protected by Federal and state law.
Growing up in Australia in the 1980s was a tough and confusing time.
How can I fit in with the people around me when I don’t feel, act or behave like them. It's hard to define yourself if you don’t understand how you are different. On a quest for discovery, I had to break away from the noise and the lack of understanding and find out who I am, that led me to England in the misguided belief that I had to prove my masculinity to my family, my peers and the world around me.
What it ultimately proved to me was that I am different and that I am who I am, and that is what makes me unique and diverse. I saw and experienced the discrimination around me and was taken back to how I felt in school; hated, vilified and targeted.
I never wanted to feel like that again and when my children came along, whoever they would grow up to be, I never wanted them to go through what I went through. I managed to work with some amazing charities who at the core of their ethos was the understanding of the diverse world we live in and teach that to children, teenagers and veterans It didn’t stop there. The organisation I worked fo rneeded to change and I worked hard to have my voice heard and pass on the experience I had to make the life and job around me tolerable for all those that came after me.
For all the hard work I put in, I was recognised with one of the highest achievements possible, nomination and of the MBE (Member of the British Empire).
I now know that is my job to pass on to society all that I learned along the way and demonstrate how the most singular of people can change massive organisations, The Diversity Company was created.

We are all different! There are over eight billion people on this planet... but there is only one you!
Our differences make us who we are. They are what binds us to the people around us and they make us unique.
Without understanding difference, we can't understand the people around us.
The law is simple, discrimination on the grounds of difference is illegal. The law protects the rights of all of us and employers - and employees - have a legal duty to ensure they protect the rights and differences of their organisation. It is your legal obligation to comply with the “Anti-Discrimination and Human Rights Legislation Amendment (Respect at Work) Act 2022".
We all have the right to live free from harassment and persecution, and morally we support that in the people around us.
We are all different and if you don’t want to be treated badly for being different, you shouldn’t treat people badly for being different. This applies at home, in the street and, more importantly, in the workplace.
With lived experience in many facets of diversity, we understand what makes us different. We can take that experience and pass it on in a manner suitable to the audience we face.
We understand the law, and we understand how that fits into the environment around us. We understand how complex andc onfusing it can be. We break it down and explain it in the simplest form without all the background noise and we can answer any questions you have, no matter how complex, confusing or confronting!
We can ensure your organisation has the base level understanding, through lessons, lectures and discussions and check to ensure compliance on a state, federal and moral level through open discussion and dialogue.
Finally, we can troubleshoot and advise on any concerns or complaints you may have or feel could arise from situations surrounding diversity and difference.
